No Time Index (Discontinuted)

  • Race Format

    • 1/8th Mile

    • No time slips are provided; racers and competitors will not know their elapsed times.

    • Runs must be between 5.50 and 7.50 seconds in the 1/8 mile.

      • If you are faster than 5.50, your index will be set at 5.50.

      • If you are slower than 7.50, your index will be set at 7.50.

      • In both cases, you may still race, but will be at a disadvantage.

  • Tree & staging rules

    • The class uses Instant Green (no yellow bulbs; when the green comes on, you go).

    • Courtesy staging is allowed but not mandatory.

    • Deep staging is allowed.

    • Double-bulbing is permitted.

  • Race structure

    • Chip draw format (no ladder) for every round.

    • Index for eliminations is set by your fastest qualifying run.

    • Racers will not know their own index or their competitor’s index until results are posted after the event.

    • Racers can double class (e.g., run No Time Index and another class).

    • After the event, all qualifying and elimination results will be posted publicly so racers can see exact runs and verify indexes.
