NHRA ET Finals

What is the ET finals?

The NHRA Division 6 ET Finals, also known as the Summit Racing Series ET Finals, is a prestigious drag racing event that brings together top racers from the Northwest Division, encompassing regions such as Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, BC and Alberta. This event is part of the broader NHRA Summit Racing Series, which provides a platform for grassroots racers to compete at a higher level. Participants in the ET Finals have usually qualified to make the team through their local tracks, earning the opportunity to represent their home tracks in a series of thrilling head-to-head races. This event not only showcases the skill and dedication of amateur racers but also fosters a strong sense of community and sportsmanship among enthusiasts of the sport. The ultimate winners gain recognition and sometimes even a chance to compete in the NHRA Summit Racing Series National Championship in Las Vegas, underscoring the significance of the event within the drag racing community.

In 2025 the Division 6 ET finals will be held at Mission Raceway Park on September long weekend.

How Does the ET Finals Work?

Member tracks in Division 6 are all given the opportunity to bring a team of drivers to the ET Finals event, which is held at different tracks within the division each year.  Team members compete both as a team collecting points for their home track and on their own going rounds to win their respective class.  The ET Finals are generally a 4 day event, with a test and tune on the Thursday (expect 2 passes max), a Gamblers Race and Qualifying Friday (expect 2 passes unless you go rounds in the gamblers race), Race Of Champions on Saturday and the Team Race on Sunday, with carry over to Monday if necessary to complete the ROC or Team Races.  Racers should come prepared for long waits as these events usually see high car counts.
